Otherwise known as HDD, Horizontal Directional Drilling is the ideal solution if you need to install pipes and service utilities underground. This trenchless technology provides safe and accurate boring underground without the risks open trenching presents.

For faster trenching through soil and clay our Vermeer V8550 chain trencher is the way to go. With the ability to cut trenches up to 450mm wide at over 1500mm deep, and the capability to side-shift the saw, it is an ideal machine for the installation of:

• Subdivision subsoil drainage and other duct/cable Installations
• Underground Utility Services including Gas, Power, Water & Fibre 
• Sports Field Drainage

Uniquely built, Kiwi Ingenuity has ensured that our fleet of Vacuum trucks have the capacity to handle the most difficult jobs & a wide variety of tasks. Our truck tanks range in size from 4000 – 25,000litres. No matter how small or large your requirement, we will have a truck to suit your needs.

Our custom Jetter trucks are built to meet the needs of our public drainage contractors. Staying on top of regular maintenance in public sewer and stormwater lines helps to prevent blockages and overflows at the most inconvenient times. Our trucks service a range of pipe sizes and perform a variety of services which include;

• Drain Unblocking

• Cleaning of new lines, in conjunction with CCTV, for council sign-off

• Cleaning of existing lines

• Root Cutting

• Descaling 

Our Hydro excavation units provide us with the ability to eliminate the risk of damaging underground utilities and tree roots. When locating and identifying underground utilities we are able to excavate safely using a combination of high pressure water blasting and vacuum.

It’s important for our underground pipeline network to be kept in top working order. Faults or blockages can cause nasty problems, at the most inconvenient time. Save on the admin and have your system checked routinely by us!

If you are intending on building over or near a council/public drain the council requires that you inspect and assess the condition of the drain both before and after your construction process.

This kind of stuff is our bread & butter. We will provide you with video footage from manhole to manhole, uploaded to Dropbox and our assessment logs referencing manholes, pipe depths and any features/defects present in the line, site plans included on request.

Using sonar and radio detection equipment we can track and locate the position & depth of our cameras in pipelines underground. This allows us to mark important features or designate work areas for repair crews.

AXIS is a Pit Launched laser guided boring system which is designed to achieve pinpoint accuracy while eliminating some of the difficult steps associated with other installation techniques. A wide range of product pipe, sizing specifications, and other jobsite requirements can be met with the versatile capabilities of the AXIS system.

P&H has built its business and reputation on extending our equipment beyond their typical uses. We consistently and carefully consider each project with an outside the square approach and collaborate with our clients to best meet their needs. Our AXIS division is no different.

In order to meet the needs of some of our clients we have developed added componentry to our AXIS system. We now have the capability to bore up to 1.5m in diameter, over double the stock capabilities, making ours a truly one of a kind machine.

The capability to install or replace underground services to an accurate and consistent grade is becoming a critical prerequisite for those in the trenchless boring industry. AXIS implements a laser guidance system that determines the grade and line of the drill head. Accompanied with an onboard CCTV camera our specialist operators can make accurate corrective adjustments as required.
